Half term is here, and for many Scout Groups across the country, that means a short but well-deserved break! Our Group is pressing pause this week, giving young people, parents, and Leaders alike a chance to recharge before we jump back into another busy term of adventure, learning, and laughter.

Of course, Scouting doesn’t stop completely — our Leaders have found a great way to keep the spirit alive! We’re getting together on Monday evening for a bit of a social. The refurbished pub that’s just reopened right next door to the Scout Hall felt like the perfect spot to catch up, share ideas, and enjoy some relaxed time together (without needing to plan an activity schedule for once!).

Moments like this remind us that Scouting is about more than meetings and badges — it’s about community. Whether you’re running a camp, gathering around a fire, or simply sharing stories over a drink, the friendships and connections we build are what keep our movement strong.
