Bungee cords I would say are one of the most useful items you might have in your box of tricks in your shed. I’ve used them for many things such as a makeshift storm strap recently for my tent, a bungee cord can do a variety of jobs.
You can literally buy a pack of them for a couple of quid. So, when The Bungee Store got in contact with me to review their Bungee Straps, I thought what’s so special about there’s compared to the 1’s I already have in my shed?
The Bungee Straps are 22mm Bungee Straps – Two Wired Hooks for Extra Strength – Extra Strong Flat Elastic Web – Stays tight and Flush to Surfaces and come in different sizes – 600,800,1000 and 1500mm in length.
I got sent the 2 red 1500mm Bungee Straps and it was perfect timing as I was due to go on a camping trip and needed to strap by Roof Bag down securely on the roof bars. Bungee Cords are great at securing items down on car roof bars.
Something that gets overlooked when buying Bungee cords is the outer sheath but making sure it’s UV and water resistant. UV- and water-resistant bungee cords can be used regularly outdoors, the cheap bungee cords that can be bought for next to nothing are poor in design and after a few uses the elastic beings to fray and snap. It’s a good idea to get some decent bungee cords and after using these Bungee straps, I’m definitely going to be ordering some more to replace my cheap 1’s I already have in the shed.
I also like that the hooks on the straps are metal unlike many bungee cords I have in my shed being made from plastic.
The Bungee Straps come in different sizes and are designed to be used for different tasks, Short bungee cords are best for indoor use or for carrying items. Long bungee cords are most often used for securing large items to a vehicle, or keeping large quantities of items, such as firewood, in place.
You can tell they are good quality and made with good robust materials just buy looking at them. I’m sure you’ve seen the cheap bungee straps that you can pick up for next to nothing gand they look cheap & you know you will only get 1 or 2 uses from them before they snap, where as these Bungee straps from The Bungee Store are the opposite, they look good quality and infact after using hem several times , I can confirm they are good quality straps and they are cheap to purchase.
All in all for bungee straps these are highly recommened by me and I will be purchasing another set to add to my usefil bits in my shed.
