Tonight at Scouts they all made their own Tommy, Tonight at Scouts they all made their own Tommy, Tommy was the nickname given to an ordinary British soldier. The figure we’re making represents the men and women who served our country, particularly those who never came home. The soldier’s head is bowed, not because he’s defeated, but as a sign of respect and remembrance. I explained to the scouts whilst they make their Tommies, I wanted them to think about the fact that every soldier was a real person. Someone’s son, daughter, husband, wife, dad or mum. When we see these silhouettes around our community, they remind us to stop, think and remember. That’s what Remembrance is all about. We remember them, and we make sure their sacrifice is never forgotten.” Lest we forget.

Be honest… do Scouts actually WASH on Scout camp? Be honest… do Scouts actually WASH on Scout camp? 😂🏕️ We all know they can spend three days in a field, come home smelling like a campfire, and insist they’re perfectly clean! But what about the leaders? 👀 My wash kit is packed, the soap bar is ready, and I’m at least trying to set a good example! 🧼😂 So come on, Scout Leaders… 👇 Be honest. How many of your Scouts actually come home having used the soap they packed? #BigManInTheWoods #Scouts #ScoutCamp #ScoutLeader
Spotted this in @lidlgb today 👀 Someone must have Spotted this in @lidlgb today 👀 Someone must have changed their mind at the till and left it behind. It’s the Parkside 20V cordless wood cutter, a mini chainsaw for pruning branches. Has anyone got one? I think it could come in really handy on Scout Camp or prepping for @bushscout.uk Skills Days. Any thoughts on this model and should I go back for it tomorrow and get it?🪚🌳 #Lidl #Parkside #LidlFinds #lidlmiddleaisle
